So it’s been a minute since I last posted- on basically every platform I have. This time of year is so crazy for me. Wedding season is starting, I have many home renovations that are finally almost done and we are scrambling to finish before my husband’s 30th birthday party, but most importantly- it’s fundraising season for the Cleveland Promise Walk for Preeclampsia which I help run! If you aren’t in my private boudie group on Facebook, you might not know why the Promise Walk and the Preeclampsia foundation mean so much to me.
In October 2015, my daughter Eloise, was stillborn because of preeclampsia. Unfortunately, preeclampsia is one of the leading causes of maternal and infant deaths worldwide. In 2018. And while there is some research being done on it, it’s not enough. Enter the Preeclampsia Foundation. This non profit, that is based in Florida and has chapters in different cities around the states (and now in Canada!) is helping to bring awareness and fund the research that is so desperately needed. There is no known cause or cure for preeclampsia. While some people will tell you delivery is a cure, you can still develop preeclampsia up to 6 weeks after birth!
The Cleveland Promise Walk is coming up in June, and my co-chair and I have been working very hard to get everything ready for it, which is why I’ve been so MIA!
ANYWAYS- I’m hoping to get back to regular posting soon!
Thanks so much for your patience!
